Abstract: Whether you are in a school that is retaining single cell spaces, have remodelled, or purpose built an innovative learning environment, student 'agency' has gained traction as a 'buzzword'. The notions of the 21st century learner, the use of mobile technologies, and innovative schooling design are influences that, when taken together, have led to a focus on relationships in classroom spaces. There is a spotlight on learner agency.
