Title: | Prediction of musical creativity in composition among selected variables for upper elementary students | Contributor(s): | Auh, Myung-Sook (author) | Publication Date: | 1996 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/10454 | Abstract: | It seems that the students' musical experience outside of school is an important part of their musical learning. There is not a great amount of research on musical creativity compared to the importance given to the topic. Furthermore, many of the studies yielded inconsistent results, partly due to different methods of measuring musical creativity and different age levels of the subjects. In general, the studies with composition tasks showed different results from those with improvisation tasks. ... Therefore, it seems that compositional creativity and improvisational creativity are not the same ability. This study chose a composition task to measure musical creativity. | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | ISME 1996: 16th International Society for Music Education Research Seminar, Frascati, Italy, 13th - 19th July, 1996 | Source of Publication: | International Society for Music Education (ISME) Research Commission XVI International Seminar Proceedings, p. 5-20 | Publisher: | International Society for Music Education Research Commission | Place of Publication: | Frascati, Italy | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 130201 Creative Arts, Media and Communication Curriculum and Pedagogy | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 930202 Teacher and Instructor Development 930201 Pedagogy |
