dc.description.abstract
Freedom of speech and expression (Moon, 2009) is a founding pillar (Lao Tzu, 6 B.C.E) and ethico-political philosophy of human affairs (Aristotle, 384 B.C.E. – 322 B.C.E.) recognised as a human value and within the constitutional global (Article 19, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1949), regional (Article 10, European Convention of Human Rights) and national (England’s Bill of Rights, 1689; American Convention of Human Rights) frameworks of democracy and human rights. Furthermore, Freedom of speech asserts political right to communicate opinions and ideas to those willing to receive them. Freedom of expression ’responsibly shares’ and establishes the values of society and boundaries of fairness and acceptability, facilitating citizens to share individual good within public good.
en
