The case studies outline their formative backgrounds and their educational experiences. Jane suffers from manic-depression or Bipolar illness and Gekko has a severe case of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Each case concludes with a summary of the issues that Jane and Gekko consider are the most important for improving the curriculum for gifted students.
