dc.description.abstract | This article presents two case studies of Jane and Gekko, two gifted young individuals. The case studies outline their formative backgrounds and their educational experiences. Jane suffers from manic-depression or Bipolar illness and Gekko has a severe case of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Each case concludes with a summary of the issues that Jane and Gekko consider are the most important for improving the curriculum for gifted students. Drawing on his findings from the case studies, the author considers the question: to what extent, if any, is the psychopathology related to the giftedness? | en |
