Title: | Quality Education Versus Quality Learning | Contributor(s): | Riley, Daniel (author); Bhindi, Narattam Lal (author) | Publication Date: | 2003 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/3980 | Abstract: | The conference theme of Quality Schools Equal Quality Education raise; once again the perplexing conundrums of what constitutes quality, how it is conceptualised, and how it is promoted, assured and sustained. It points to the challenge of definition, management and operationalisation. Not all these questions were raised nor were they all resolved, but they constituted the scarlet thread that wove the Conference presentations and workshops. Seen in the context of school improvement and school effectiveness movements, change management and the learning organisation, the quest for quality schools and quality education makes a great deal of common sense. | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | ACEL 2002 State Conference: Australian Council for Education Leaders NSW 2002 State Conference, Armidale, Australia, April 2002 | Source of Publication: | Quality Schools Equal Quality Education: Australian Council for Educational Leaders New South Wales 2002 State Conference, Armidale, p. 110-119 | Publisher: | Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) | Place of Publication: | Winmalee, Australia | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 130304 Educational Administration, Management and Leadership | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 930299 Teaching and Instruction not elsewhere classified | HERDC Category Description: | E2 Non-Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication | Publisher/associated links: | http://trove.nla.gov.au/version/26996531 http://www.acel.org.au/index.php?id=729 |
