Title: | Approches analytiques pour les etudes de provenance d'obsidiennes en Corse prehistorique | English Title: | Analytical approaches for obsidian provenance studies in prehistoric Corsica | Contributor(s): | Orange, Marie (author) ; Le Bourdonnec, Francois-Xavier (author); Bellot-Gurlet, Ludovic (author); Luglie, Carlo (author); Bressy-Leandri, Celine (author); Gratuze, Bernard (author); Dubernet, Stephan (author); Dillmann, Philippe (author) | Publication Date: | 2019 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/31943 | Abstract: | En Corse, les outils taillés en obsidienne sont fréquents dans les séries néolithiques, or cette matière première vitreuse est allochtone. Rechercher ses sources potentielles est une étape clé pour appréhender l'organisation des habitats préhistoriques et les interactions entre les groupes humains en zone tyrrhénienne. HERDC Category Description: | E2 Non-Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication | English Abstract: | In Corsica, obsidian stone tools are frequent in Neolithic assemblages despite the extra-local origin of this vitreous raw material. Retrieving their potential origin is a key step to apprehend the organisation of prehistoric settlements and the interactions between human groups in the Tyrrhenian area. The communication proposed here will attempt to demonstrate the necessity to optimise the analytical strategies employed to efficiently respond to the current issues surrounding provenance studies. |
