The gender pay gap measures the difference between women’s and men’s average full-time equivalent earnings, expressed as a percentage of men’s earnings. In 2017, Australia’s gender pay gap was 15.3 per cent. This means men still take home $26,527 a year more than women on average. | Publication Type: | Report | Publisher: | Committee for Economic Development Australia | Place of Publication: | Melbourne, Australia | ISBN: | 0858013185 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 140299 Applied Economics not elsewhere classified | Fields of Research (FoR) 2020: | 380199 Applied economics not elsewhere classified | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 910106 Income Distribution | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2020: | 150206 Income distribution | HERDC Category Description: | R1 Report | Publisher/associated links: | https://www.ceda.com.au/Research-and-policy/All-CEDA-research/Research-catalogue/How-unequal-Insights-on-inequality | Description: | "Inequality in the workplace" is chapter 4 of the report "How unequal?
