dc.description"Inequality in the workplace" is chapter 4 of the report "How unequal? Insights on inequality".en
dc.description.abstract2017 saw renewed attention on questions of inequality in the Australian workforce, particularly the reasons for the national gender pay gap. The gender pay gap measures the difference between women’s and men’s average full-time equivalent earnings, expressed as a percentage of men’s earnings. In 2017, Australia’s gender pay gap was 15.3 per cent. This means men still take home $26,527 a year more than women on average.en
