The inventory identifies 40 items ranging chronologically from the only surviving copy of the early 15th-century "Ars plane musice" of Nicolaus de Aversa to a set of notes on realising harmonies on a bass from not later than the early 17th century. The content of each item is briefly summarised and accompanied by its text incipit. Concordances with other sources are identified. The manuscript's gathering structure and scribes responsible for contributing items are also indicated. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Grant Details: | ARC/DP150102135 | Source of Publication: | Musica disciplina, v.60, p. 201-210 | Publisher: | American Institute of Musicology | Place of Publication: | United States of America | ISSN: | 0077-2461 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 190409 Musicology and Ethnomusicology | Fields of Research (FoR) 2020: | 360306 Musicology and ethnomusicology | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 970119 Expanding Knowledge through Studies of the Creative Arts and Writing 950101 Music |
