Abstract: | | Device-free Passive Localization (DfPL) is concerned with positioning objects that do not carry an active electronic device, and hence do not participate in the positioning process. A typical DfPL setup employs a set of Access Points (APs) and Monitoring Points (MPs) in order to passively trace objects. In this paper, we examine DfPL using 1 AP and 2 MPs to better understand its performance in typical indoor environments. This paper reports results from several experiments that are conducted in a commercial indoor setting. A few interesting considerations related to real world experimentation are also summarized towards the end of this paper.
