dc.description.abstract
en

local.abstract.english
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed mathematics education worldwide. This change will be analyzed by examining two trends in mathematics education: the use of digital technology and the philosophy of mathematics education. The relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and digital technology in education raises epistemological issues raised by the philosophy of mathematics education. Using the idea that the basic unit of knowledge production throughout history is people with the media, I discuss how people relate to the virus, and how it will change the engagement of these two trends in mathematics education.
en
