dc.description.abstract
Sheep were introduced to Samoa in 2004 with only 44 live animals. However, over the last 10 years, the number of households raising sheep has increased from 26 to 249 and the number of registered animals from 153 to 1654 in 2019 (SBS 2009). The current level of productivity and limitations faced by sheep farmers in Samoa are unknown. This study aimed to measure the productive parameters of sheep farms in Samoa to understand these systems better.
en
