dc.description.abstract
The suite of guiding principles proposed in this report has been developed for the purpose of informing the design of curriculum resources and related supports intended to inform high-quality curriculum planning. Each principle is presented with a brief explanation with a supporting comment on application and characteristics of curriculum supports. This includes explicit linking of the resources with i) the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (Australian Institute for Teachers and School Leaders, 2015), and ii) relevant informing national and state policies (Victoria). The stated aim is for the resources to offer cross-curricular teaching and learning supports focusing on capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities while a subject specific illustration of the principles is offered for Mathematics resource development (see Appendix 1). Given time restraints, a limited overview of informing research is presented along with a reference list of scholarly work.
en
