Abstract:	While welcoming the new technology and facility of CBCT at the Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya, this article attempts to review international literature to identify the scope and the use of CBCT in forensic dental casework with a view to use the said facility for future forensic endeavours in Sri Lanka.
