dc.description.abstract |
A dam's mothering behaviour post calving has had minimal research as a measure of reproductive performance. It is relatively easy to measure in the paddock and has been estimated to have a heritability of 0.2 to 0.3 (MLA project B.NBP.0759). However its value as an indicator of hard to measure reproductive performance traits is unknown. The aim of this paper was to investigate any association between mothering and weaning weight (YVWT) and lactation anoestrous interval (LAI).
| en |
