Title: | Access Control in a Health System | Contributor(s): | Bogeholz, Serge Francisco (author) | Publication Date: | 2006 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/4742 | Abstract: | It has become common practise to construct software systems as a collection of heterogeneous distributed components. Information within these components tends to be of a sensitive nature, and therefore requires some form of access control. Although there are existing architectures available to provide this control, they tend to be an add on feature that is complicated and inflexible. The aim of this paper is to investigate the access constraints of a real-world example where information is of a highly sensitive nature, and to design a system whose security is based on the use of bracket capabilities. | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | The 3rd International Workshop IE & SI, Timisoara, Romania, 26th May - 27th May 2006 | Source of Publication: | The 3rd International Workshop IE & SI, p. 27-34 | Publisher: | Mirton Publishing House | Place of Publication: | Timisoara, Romania | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 080699 Information Systems not elsewhere classified | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 890399 Information Services not elsewhere classified | Peer Reviewed: | Yes | HERDC Category Description: | E1 Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication |
