dc.description.abstract'Degrees that matter' is an excellent guide for universities and colleges to take on leadership in responding to global warming and climate change. The authors, with a decade's experience in successfully leading Tuft University's climate initiatives, present a comprehensive guide to support other higher education institutions in responding to the challenge of institutional change to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, through developing policy and organising for change in practice. The authors have produced a highly useful, practical guide for change, which effectively disseminates their experiences in promoting change at Tufts as a case-study model. The Tufts experience provides valuable lessons and a potential model for action across the university campus, with strategies for action and important supporting information to promote leadership, and to inform decisions and action for change.en
