Title: | Extending the IOI to significant other and to non-hearing-aid-based interventions | Contributor(s): | Noble, William Glass (author) | Publication Date: | 2002 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/3086 | Abstract: | Two extensions of the International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids are described: the first is designed for the significant other(SO)(IOI-HA-SO), and the second for alternative interventions for hearing difficulties (IOI-AI). A feature of the IOI-HA-SO is that several items are modified to inquire about effects of the partner's hearing loss on the SO. The IOI-AI is designed to cover effects of use of listening aids other than personally worn hearing aids, use of hearing tactics, and aural surgery. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Source of Publication: | International Journal of Audiology, 41(1), p. 27-29 | Publisher: | Informa Healthcare | Place of Publication: | United Kingdom | ISSN: | 1708-8186 1499-2027 |
