dc.description.abstract | One of the significant social impacts of the recent growth in aviation industry is aircraft-related noise grievances, which has become a contentious issue between airports and residents living around airports. Although noise abatement procedures of airports have received significant attention, airport-community relations remain an underrated subject. This paper responds to this gap and examines a case of one of the fastest growing airports in Australia – Gold Coast Airport with a lens of social responsibility. First, it is shown that the social aspects of noise grievances issue ought to be addressed by social responsibility lens.
