The presentation of known songs and adaptations of known songs elicited a range of responses in these children. Further study of the role and effects of music with this patient group is required following positive outcomes for these children receiving music therapy while unconscious in an intensive care unit. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Source of Publication: | Australian Journal of Music Therapy, v.8, p. 18-29 | Publisher: | Australian Music Therapy Association Inc | Place of Publication: | Australia | ISSN: | 1036-9457 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 190408 Music Therapy | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 950101 Music | Peer Reviewed: | Yes | HERDC Category Description: | C1 Refereed Article in a Scholarly Journal | Publisher/associated links: | https://www.austmta.org.au/journal/article/providing-music-therapy-unconscious-child-paediatric-intensive-care-unit |
