Many Australian families experience a parent working away from home on a frequent or prolonged basis in the primary industries, transport or sales sectors or through deployment within the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Researching how these families are affected, and how they cope, survive, and sometimes thrive, during these challenging times offers insights into the ways early childhood educators can promote family resilience. By following these eight steps, educators can partner effectively with these families to ensure they are emotionally and physically supported.en
