The focus of this workshop is on an innovative tool based on equivalence of meaning across different types of representations and called MERLO (Meaning Equivalence Reusable Learning Object). MERLO is used in formative assessment activities. After a general presentation of the MERLO approach, we will focus on its application in mathematics education and the design of MERLO activities based on the ACARA curriculum for the teaching and learning of mathematics in secondary schools.en
