dc.description.abstract | This article summarises the significant findings from the Disadvantaged Schools Program 'Write it Right' Literacy in Industry Project undertaken in the 1990s. The 'Write it Right' research was undertaken at the same time as research into the language of the key learning areas of English, Science, History, Geography and Visual Arts. An important aspect of the research was the consideration of how the language knowledge that students acquire in the key learning areas relates to the language demands of the industry sectors investigated in the project: manufacturing, the media and administration. | en |
