dc.description.abstractThere has been substantial private sector investment in the development of real-time Autonomous spatial Livestock Monitoring (ASLM) systems. Several of these ASLM platforms are currently being trialled in extensive grazing environments and should become available to producers within the next few years. Despite the many years of development as a research tool and the millions of dollars invested by commercial technology companies there remains a large body of research to be undertaken in understanding how ASLM can be applied by producers. This presentation outlines some of the applications of most interest to end-users and suggests priorities for future research.en
