This article deals with the the rights concepts of human dignity, personal freedom and free movement in the European Convention of Human Rights. Whereas the term human dignity does not exist in the European Convention, dignity has played an important role underpinning various rights in the Convention. The other two rights are specific guarantees in the Convention.
