Abstract:

This chapter discusses the benefits of assessment by portfolio for students’ learning as well as their wellbeing. It charts the journey from initial design to where the team is now and what they have learned, including how to mark such work. The chapter offers a treasure trove of examples for tasks that can be set within the format of a portfolio and demonstrates how these can be authentic and, at times, even elicit humorous output by students.
