Abstract: 

Gravitational waves, also known as gravitational radiation were.first predkted in the General Theo,y of Relativity by A. Einstein. This article explains the priniciple of gravitational wave detection i11 brief and tries to give an idea about the existent and possible detectors of gravitatio11a/ waves. 11ie main aim of this article is to understand the importance of detection qf gravitational waves and to give an idea about the excitement behind it. Th;s article explains the concepts by making simple analogies.
