Abstract:

The year 2020 will mark a once-in-a-century global event: the out-break and pandemic of COVID-19. On the 31 December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported a cluster of pneumo-nia-like cases of a novel coronavirus zoonosis in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. The outbreak was due to a new or novel coronavirus, which would later be called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
