This data is related to the role of the SPLM in the conflict in South Sudan. Data collection involved interviews of various stakeholders in the conflict including the conflict parties, mediators, scholars and other civil society leaders. The findings from the data explain the causes of power struggles in the SPLM, how it relates to the conflict in South Sudan and potential strategies to the conflict. The findings show that the problem is rooted in historical conflicts which remain unresolved. Trust-building and reconciliation among the parties was suggested as a suitable strategy to the problem.en
