dc.description.abstract | This chapter begins with a discussion of 'common sense' thinking as a way of apprehending the social and cultural environment and then moves on to discuss the challenges of critical thinking. In the second part, the role of critical thinking in two well-known curriculum frameworks is explored. These frameworks can be used as templates for the analysis and evaluation of current curriculum policies and practices. The final section includes an exploration of the impact on the curriculum of the current neo-liberal thinking in major English speaking countries. | en |
