Abstract:

The Sindhi letters and words mentioned in this book are each accompanied by a Roman transliteration, that is, a representation of Sindhi letters in the Roman alphabet (abcd...xyz), with additional symbols as required (ā ī ū ṭ ḍ ṇ etc.)

This system of transliteration is based on the one initially proposed by William Jones in 1799, and further refined by George Grierson, compiler of the Linguistic Survey of India, in the early 20th century.
