dc.description.abstractThis publication contains some of the papers presented at the 11th International Symposium of the Cambrian Stage Subdivision Working Group (South Australia 2006) held in South Australia from 14-24 August, 2006. The symposia of this group are essentially field-based, and have previously been held in Morocco, Spain, Sweden, France, Argentina, eastern and western USA, China and Korea. The purpose of the Working Group is to establish GSSPs (Global Stratotype Section and Point) within well exposed and easily accessible Cambrian successions, so that correlations can be made on a worldwide basis.en
