dc.description.abstractBusiness English vocabulary refers to English words and expressions that are used in business settings for business purposes. Studies of business discourse and communication indicate that they include common English words that acquire a business sense, technical terms that represent specialized business processes, and formulaic expressions that are typically used in business speaking and writing. This entry reviews these features of business vocabulary and discusses pedagogical issues, such as the selection of vocabulary for inclusion and the techniques for teaching it in business English classrooms, in the next two sections, respectively.en
