dc.description.abstractNine Creative Residencies in which writers, illustrators and animators from around Australia visited the University of New England. Their residencies, which included public talks, workshops, and round-tables, provided reflection on aspects of the Creative Industries, careers therein, aspects of creative process, including the development of storytelling skills, use of innovative storytelling technology (digital animation, storytelling scrapbooking apps), the negotiation of illustrator-author-editor relationships. This program involved 9 Residents, 9 public talks, 18 workshops, 9 recorded interviews (ABC New England North-West), 1 exhibition (UNE Dixson Library, August 2016 - January 2017) and 1 article in the Conversation (September 2016).en
