Acidification of poultry feed is commonly used to hygienize feed and to enhance performance. However, the effect of acidified feed on intestinal transport processes in broilers has not been investigated to date. Ussing chamber measurements are commonly used to evaluate intestinal electrogenic transport physiology. We hypothesized that acidification of feed does affect intestinal transporter function in broilers.en
