He studied Arts and although exhibiting little enthusiasm for university work graduated in 1905 with a major in English literature. He then taught for twelve years in Scottish government schools. | Publication Type: | Book Chapter | Source of Publication: | The Routledge Encyclopedia of Educational Thinkers, p. 341-345 | Publisher: | Routledge | Place of Publication: | London, United Kingdom | ISBN: | 9781138826144 9781315739502 |
