Introduction: Ussing chambers are frequently used for in vitro-evaluation of intestinal transport physiology in many species. However, detailed information about the procedure of tissue preparation for investigating intestine from laying hens is not provided by the literature. The current study aimed to describe the Ussing chamber procedure for investigating the jejunal tissue from laying hens using a specific preparation method and to investigate the benefit of glutamine in the experimental buffer solution.en
