Abstract: You're writing journal articles, gathering data sets, getting your work done. How do you keep track of all you do? How do you show people your research outputs and track your academic career? How do you make sure people know that you're Bob Jones at UNE, not Bob Jones from Southern Cross? ORCID can help. An ORCID Record can help you keep your Resume in order, and an ORCID iD can make sure people are clear on who you are. The Australian Research Council (ARC) announced that Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) reporting will ask for ORCID iD for the first time in 2018. 24 publishers including Wiley, the Royal Society and ScienceOpen will require you to have an ORCID iD before they'll publish. ORCID is fast becoming needed. So how can UNE help you manage all this information? How can we use ORCID to make your life easier? Answers (and undoubtedly more questions) will be provided.
