Title: | Case Study - Australian Law Postgraduate Network (ALPN) | Contributor(s): | Colbran, Stephen (author); Kennedy, Amanda L (author) | Publication Date: | 2007 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/1980 | Abstract: | The Australian Law Postgraduate Network (ALPN) was established predominantly to improve supervision and methodology within postgraduate research in law. The establishment of the network was funded by the Carrick Institute under the 2006 Leadership Grant. Low rates of postgraduate student enrolments, coupled with limited cross-institutional collaboration and narrow methodological considerations fuelled the development of the ALPN project, aimed at improving the quality of postgraduate research and supervision in law within Australia by increasing collaboration and resource sharing. The project seeks to achieve this goal through a number of mechanisms, which are our key project deliverables. | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | Collaborating to Offer Small Courses/Subjects Forum, Armidale, Australia, 17th - 18th May, 2007 | Source of Publication: | Collaborating to Offer Small Courses/Subjects Forum: Final Report, p. 55-58 | Publisher: | Carrick Institute for Learning, Teaching in Higher Education Ltd and the University of New England | Place of Publication: | Armidale, Australia | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 130103 Higher Education | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 930503 Resourcing of Education and Training Systems | HERDC Category Description: | E2 Non-Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication | Publisher/associated links: | http://trove.nla.gov.au/version/44905488 http://www.olt.gov.au/system/files/resources/grants_report_smallcourses_feb08.pdf http://www.olt.gov.au/resource-small-courses-une-2007 |
