dc.description.abstract | In 2012, the QuickSmart team at the University of New England received data from 5880 students who participated in QuickSmart Numeracy lessons and 1767 average-achieving comparison peers. These students were drawn from schools from nineteen regions around Australia. Further data were also submitted for independent analysis to the Northern Territory (NT) Department of Education and Training by NT schools. The analyses presented in this report provide information about students' performance on the Cognitive Aptitude Assessment System, Australian version (OZCAAS) and on standardised test measures, specifically the Progressive Achievement Tests in Mathematics (ACER, 2005), and the VCAA On-Demand tests used by some schools in Victoria. One school provided data for the NT Baseline test, however there was insufficient use of this test for inclusion in this report. Further investigation of the data provided in this report examines the results in terms of gender and for the participating Indigenous students. | en |
