S generates both enthusiasm and concern. In this paper we focus on the Canadian public sector, how it could benefit from FLOSS solutions, emphasising the strong connection existing between public function and Free and Open Source models. At the same time we analyse some of the major legal concerns linked with FLOSS, to distinguish real issues from Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD).en
