Abstract: Peter Antonie was and remains an 'oarsman's' oarsman, an athlete who gained the respect not only of Australian rower's but rowers worldwide. This was exemplified when Antonie was awarded, in 2003, the Thomas Keller Medal for rowing - the highest honour in world rowing. ... That Peter Antonie's rowing career was exceptional is not in doubt. His career may not have been the longest in world rowing or, as this book superbly details, the most illustrious in terms of gold medals won. The exceptional quality of Peter Antonie was his versatility.
