dc.description.abstract | Nicholas Wolterstorff is well known as one of the founders of Reformed Epistemology, along with William Alston and Alvin Plantinga. I suspect, however, that his papers on epistemology and on philosophy of religion have not been as widely read as they should have been. I hope these volumes will rectify that. To those who are not interested in philosophy of religion, first I urge you to read those chapters on epistemology generally, and be persuaded that Wolterstorff has described a necessary condition for belief entitlement. Then I suggest you draw the conclusion that you ought to be interested in philosophy of religion. Wolterstorff practises what he preaches: he is a model of self-referential consistency. | en |
