dc.description.abstract | Probability theory provides insights into the levels at which standards of proof are set. An analysis is provided of the rates of errors that flow from different standards, a necessary element of which is an assumption as to the level of certainty achieved in the flow of cases. Where one party is required to satisfy a standard of proof, a complementary standard is imposed on the other party. | en |
