Title: | Introductory Note to the 'Armidale and District Historical Society Journal and Proceedings': No. 20, January 1977 - Railway Issue | Contributor(s): | Ryan, John S (author) | Publication Date: | 1977 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/11304 | Abstract: | The present issue opens with a fine theoretical essay from the University of Nottingham. The paper on the aboriginal-settler contact in the Lachlan area is published here because of our many members in that area, and to be put against earlier essays printed in the Journal, especially R.B. Walker's, in Journal 4 (1962), Sharon Sullivan's in Journal 8 (1965), and B. Norton's in Journal 15 (1972). It may also be noted here that the checklist of Aboriginal theses concerned with the North contains the names of a number of scholars who have contributed to this Journal, namely: B.J. Bridges; I.C. Campbell; Frances H. Lovejoy; M. Pearson; Judith Murray-Prior; B.E. Richardson; and Sharon Sullivan. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Source of Publication: | Armidale and District Historical Society Journal and Proceedings (20), p. v-vii | Publisher: | Armidale and District Historical Society | Place of Publication: | Australia | ISSN: | 0084-6732 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 210303 Australian History (excl Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander History) 120506 Transport Planning 120502 History and Theory of the Built Environment (excl Architecture) |
