This paper offers a review and critique of how music can be used to increase the life experiences and wellbeing of older people living in the community. It uses this framework to describe a project supported by the Churchill Trust of Australia, and conducted as a collaborative project between a number of key organizations within Australia to support an initiative for a national arts project that is specifically focused for seniors. The paper describes the development of the project and discusses the significance of viewing older people as able, valued and life long learning citizens.en
