English Abstract: I recommend highly this selection of recordings made specifically for music students. The quality of the various performances is extremely high in artistic interpretation and technical excellence. The various artists in these recordings include some of the world's most accomplished musicians who can provide appropriate models for any music student. The selection of music is most appropriate for music students, particularly those who wish to broaden their experience and knowledge of the mainstream traditions of western classical music. Most of the great composers and their most significant works are included in the selection, and the program notes which accompany them, prepared by Dr. Myung-sook Auh, are most meticulous and highly informative, as well as being presented in a very readable format. Music students everywhere should take advantage of this excellently prepared and presented set of compact discs.
