Biography
Chris is a Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of New England and an Honorary Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research, Kolling Institute, University of Sydney. Chris has extensive clinical experience as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSA) having worked for a decade within a subacute rehabilitation hospital setting treating patients with a wide array of clinical conditions (e.g., musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac) and coordinating outpatient rehabilitation programs. Chris completed his PhD in Biomechanics and Motor Skill Development in Swimming at the University of Sydney. Current research projects: developing national guidelines for the management of whiplash associated disorders; evaluating health and social outcomes following road traffic injuries; facilitating biomechanical analysis of swimming using neural networks; evaluating recovery following traumatic brain injury.
