English Abstract: The aim of this work is to "illuminate the role of poetry in teaching Italian as a foreign language." Mario Inglese's study illustrates the role of poetry in teaching Italian as a foreign language, showing how class work on poetry, understood as a dialogue between the text and its readers, primarily involves the emotions, yet poetic text, by its very nature, triggers a range of cognitive, logical interpretation affects, which provide particular focus for the active role of the learner. The second part "offers a wide range of suggestions, ideas, activities that have proved particularly useful in the field and from which readers can draw many ideas".
